About the AGA TOUR!
Welcome to the Amateur Golfers' Association of America (AGA or AGA
TOUR for short)!! We started offering competitive tournaments
in
The AGA is an
organization focused on providing our members great golfing
opportunities and meeting the needs of the members by offering
competitive events on fantastic venues. We constantly try to
find ways of ensuring our events give our members quality prizes for
which to compete as well.
The AGA TOUR is open to all golfers. All events are played by the rules of golf. We have three series - TOUR, Hardcore and Players. One membership gives you access to all three series. Our AGA TOUR Series events have 6 flights so golfers of similar abilities are competing in the most fair format. See our flighting structure here. Our AGA Hardcore and Players Series events are designed to be more cost effective and social with handicapped events played with a modified Stableford format which allows for faster play. During the year, we offer 30+ local events with various road trips. These local events are held on some of the best public and private courses in the area and road trips are held at top notch destinations. In terms of competition, not only does every tournament have winners, but we also have points competitions for each of our series as well as our TOUR series season-ending TOUR Championship for qualified players. Typically we take one golf trip each year to places such as Ireland, Pacific Northwest, Bandon Dunes, etc.
The goal of the
AGA is to partner with our sponsors to provide high quality golf
events and tournaments on high quality golf courses for our high
quality members. The game of golf is a great sport, and all of
those involved with the AGA TOUR look to keep the tradition and
sportsmanship that is the game of golf alive and growing!
